As of 2021, Pinterest is the 14th largest social media platform with 459 million active users each month. (Olafson, 2021)  Pinterest is a social platform that can be used to find images, infographics, videos and ideas about their interests and hobbies. Every idea is represented by a pin, which is an image that is curated and saved by other Pinterest users. Pinterest is free to use, however users can upgrade to a business premium account which allows users to track analytics, metrics and curate a shop tab on the business page.

Pinterest is a valuable curated content source for 2Degrees when content is needed on its digital platforms. An example of this content can be seen in Figure 3, the post curated by a Pinterest user links to an infographic on the differences between the 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G Mobile Data Networks. This information is relevant and in-line with 2Degrees buyer persona, and directly answers a common question its consumers may ask. Pinterest pins are readily accessible and can be shared to social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram or directly copied and pasted onto any social media channel.

Founded in 2006 (BuzzFeed, n.d.) BuzzFeed is an internet based media, news and entertainment platform with a focus on digital media such as news articles, pop culture, and popular videos. Buzzfeed tends to appeal to a younger audience as the content is readily available, easily consumed and shareable across different social media platforms.

With a total global audience of 650 Million (Smith, 2021) BuzzFeed is a powerful source of casual content that can be consumed and enjoyed by the average internet user. BuzzFeed’s content varies from viral content such as blogs, memes, videos and GIFS to more interactive content such as quizzes.

2Degrees could utilize BuzzFeed’s quizzes to engage with its consumers, as seen in Figure 5, the quiz is relevant as it is focused around mobile devices, a particular interest and hobby our target personas are wanting to read about. Another example of curated content that could be shared by 2Degrees is pictured in Figure 4, an article was written about a common problem users have on a day to day basis such as a low battery percentage on your phone. These curated contents sources are valuable as they are relevant and in line with the target personas for 2Degrees and can be easily shared by clicking on the relevant social media platforms icon.
